I don’t know about you, but I am super excited to watch the Olympic opening ceremonies tonight! It’s being directed by by Danny Boyle, (director/creator of Trainspotting, 28 Days Later and Slumdog Millionaire) so you know it’s going to be chock full of British greatness (hello David Beckam, the Beatles, Kate and Will). Will you guys be watching tonight?

Next week I’m heading to the Rangers vs Yankees game and while I’m most excited for the game, I have slight problem on my hands. I don’t own any rangers gear. My bad, I know. So I’ve decided to make my own rangers shirt with this awesome jcrew shirt I picked up this week and place the Rangers T on it with Katie’s freezer paper tutorial transfer. The shirt is 100% linen, so I’m a bit nervous it’ll end up disastrous, but I won’t know until I try. Regardless, it’s the perfect weekend project. Will let you guys know how it turns out next week. One of my creative resolutions this year is to finish my first chevron quilt and I’m happy to say it’s almost finished folks! Yes, it’s taken me 9 months to piece to together the quilt front and back, but that’s what happens when working full time and trying to have a social life in the interim. Regardless, I’m really happy with the way the quilt back turned out and can’t wait to show you guys the final result. Cheers! xo Kristi

St. Patrick’s day is one of my favorite days of the year. Spring is approaching, the weather is great and everyone is in good spirits. I’m en route to the coast of Guatemala as we speak for a much needed mini vacay. I have to say, beach vacations are my absolute favorite trips simply for the fact that I’m an extremely light packer. Just throw in a few suits, dresses, flip flops, a good book (Games of Thrones series is great!) and I’m good to go. Vacation getaway here I come!
